Position: Sr. Technician
Contracted Days: 260 (year round), 8 hours, 5 days a week
Reporting to: Assistant Executive Director of Curriculum and Technology

Position Description:

The person who serves in this role must be dedicated to supporting Team members in our shared goal of running an efficient and professional operation that allows the Collaborative to maximize the amount of time spent at enrollment capacity. Succeeding in this position requires representing The Collaborative in a positive, professional manner in all admission related activities, which will include telephone interactions, email communications and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders, referral sources and internal staff.

The Sr. Technician acts as an interface to the technology services staff to effect real time problem analysis and resolutions. The Sr. Technician is responsible for the maintenance of hardware and software systems within the Collaborative’s local and wide area network. This includes installation of servers, workstations, and network equipment such as routers and switches. This position requires knowledge of Windows and Mac OS X operations system at the server and workstation, and knowledge of network architecture and troubleshooting. Performs ongoing activities to maintain and enhance overall system performance. This position provides support to teaching and administrative staff, requiring attention to detail, ongoing learning, and commitment to professional development.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required. Knowledge of special education desirable.

Job Responsibilities:
• Install and repair workstation and server hardware and software.
• Perform system administration functions.
• Manage Camera and Door Security System.
• Manage Email servers (Exchange and GMail)
• Monitor network applications, network hardware, software and services.
• Review Daily Helpdesk items and prioritize for efficient completion.
• Support teachers, students and administrative staff with technology applications.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software installation.
• Provides technical leadership and training to lower level technician.


Job Responsibilities (continued):
• Collects detailed information to categorize request in order to determine method of resolution.
• Ensure system backups are completed and functional. Do test restores of data to confirm backup reliability.
• Manage School Closings on Website, Facebook, News Outlets, and individuals provided on School Closings Google Docs.
• Work as a team with other information technology staff to accomplish goals and objections as set by the Assistant Executive Director of Curriculum and Technology.
• Set Up A/V Equipment for large functions and events. Provide IT and AV support for Large Functions or Events.
• Update Website, and other Social Media accounts.
• Provide exceptional services in person, phone and email as appropriate.
• Others tasks as directed by the all Directors
• Manage Diligent Board Books Software updates to Board of Directors devices and prepare for the use during the Meetings.
• Manage Apple School Manager and Apple Volume Purchase Program using Meraki for Mobile Device Management.
• Manage Wifi access points and Cloud Based System.
• Manage G-Suite Management System.

Physical Demands:
