Program Description:

The Victor School is a therapeutic day school program for students ages 14 - 22 in both middle and high school - focusing on 7th – 12th graders. Students attending TVS are working to build social emotional skills to assist their goals for their future.

Job Description:

The nursing position provides nursing management care services to students while on site at TVS or participating in school-related functions. FT or PT hours may be approved for this position, however there are standard hours through out the day that a nurse must be onsite. The Victor School hours operate daily between 8:30 and 3pm, Nursing health services are made applicable during the school day:
• Assessment and evaluation of illness and injuries arising during the school day
• Acute, emergency care and triage
• Medication Administration monitoring; holding certification in Medication Delegation
• Instructor for: CPR/AED/First Aid, Epinepherine Injector/Allergy Management, Naproxen Spray, Medication Administration, Bloodborne Pathogens and Emergency Precautions
• Implementation within a school day regarding Student Individual Health and management plans including: allergies, seizure, diabetes, athsma/inhaler, dietary, specialized gym/physical activity, and medication administration
• Support DESE requirements for school certification in the nursing department and maintaining student records which includes securing and/or administering DESE mandated health screenings
• Psychoeducational information on assorted health topics


• The RN should hold a current Massachusetts license with the Department of Public Health and have experience with adolescents with social emotional disabilities in a mental health or medical setting
• Strong organization skills while working in a flexible setting; ability to multi-task.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of basic computer systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google platforms
• Instructor certification for CPR/AED/First Aid is preferred
