Job Description

Job Goal: Work with teachers in school districts and provide training/PD to assist in increasing student achievement by improving curriculum and instruction in the area of Literacy.

Performance Responsibilities:
• Maintain, support, and develop a working knowledge of standards and progressions, research-based lesson design, literacy and numeracy practices, assessment protocols, and other high-yield learning strategies
• Write, implement, observe, and revise curriculum and instructional models in collaboration with content area teachers; provide assistance developing standards-aligned lessons
• Work with teachers to provide curricular and instructional support
• Model lessons in classrooms
• Lead, motivate, and collaborate teacher leaders and instructional facilitators
• Develop and present professional development on research-based policies and practices
• Review and make recommendations regarding instructional materials or supplies if requested by school districts
• Serve as a lead practitioner and liaison in curriculum and instruction development
• Perform other duties as assigned
