Recovery Room / Classroom paraprofessional
Reports To: Assigned Certified Faculty/Administrator
Supervises: not applicable
Position Purpose: to assist in providing a beneficial learning environment in which all students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials
Physical/Emotional Requirements: The incumbent may be required to use the following skills and abilities during any part of the working day: speaking, hearing, manual dexterity, mobility, lifting (as much as 20lbs), pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, sitting, handling a variety of stressful situations, flexibility in adjusting to varied levels of pressure and intensity, patience, calmness, persistence.
Instructional responsibilities will be AS ASSIGNED by the certified supervisor with some assignments requiring a specialized skill. The list below has a variety of expectations which may be assigned. This is a representative list and is not meant to be all inclusive.
Terms of Employment:
9 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board policy on evaluation of Support Service Personnel.
The performance responsibilities are not limited to those outlined in this description and may include any other responsibilities as assigned by the administrator/supervisor.
