Allen Creek Preschool is seeking an outstanding individual for the role of Executive Director starting summer 2018. The Executive Director reports to the President of the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will run the daily operations of the school, which provides half-day preschool options for approximately 40 students per year. The Executive Director provides leadership for a staff of highly qualified teachers with extensive experience in early childhood education, as well as administrative support staff. This is a part-time salaried position requiring approximately 25-30 hrs per week.

Job Description
• Ensure the smooth functioning of the day-to-day operations of the school
• Manage the school finances consistent with the board approved budget
• Supervise the teaching and administrative staff
• Collaborate with Child Development Director to manage the Family Consultant Program
• Provide regular updates to the board of directors as appropriate
• Participate in fundraising and development activities
• Support the mission of Allen Creek
• Adhere to the guidelines and expectations articulated in the Allen Creek staff handbook

• Five paid sick leave or personal business days during the school year
• Twenty paid vacation days during the summer when school is not in session
• The school maintains directors and officers insurance
• Allen Creek does not provide health insurance or a retirement plan

The school will consider candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or a related discipline, plus at least 5 years of experience working with preschool aged children in an educational setting. Previous experience in a managerial role is preferred but not required.
