Job Description

The Salem YMCA has an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about youth development and working with children from diverse backgrounds. We’re looking for a full time site coordinator for our after school program based out of a Salem elementary school. In this role, the site coordinator is responsible for overseeing the after school program at this location. In addition to program oversight, the site coordinator provides direct service in leading specialty lessons and enrichment programs including a physical education activity which is offered during the school day. There is potential for this position to develop and take on additional responsibilities within our YMCA in developing sports programming for youth.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am-6pm

    Job Requirements

    • Qualifications

      -Must 20 years or older.

      -Associates or Bachelors degree, preferably in education, human services or related subject required.

      -Previous experience working with children is required.

      -Bilingual/Spanish speaking is strongly preferred.

      -Experience working in urban settings is a plus.

    • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
    • Bachelor degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency OR WORK VISA IN United States required
