Job Description

PRE-K thru SECONDARY SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

Schools within the North Country Supervisory Union seek Special Education teachers
committed to creating and supporting an inclusive environment for students in grades
PreK through 12, while also providing targeted specialized instruction and supports within
the areas of identified need. The ideal candidates would possess strong collaborative skills,
have experience delivering remedial instruction in math, reading, and written expression
and maintain data collection systems for academic and behavioral progress monitoring.
Candidates should also demonstrate strong case management skills and knowledge of special
education law and procedures.

Specific anticipated openings for the 2018-2019 school year :

Early Childhood Special Education – 1.0 FTE,
K-6 Schools - 3.5 FTEs
K-8 Schools - 1.5 FTEs
High School - 1.0 FTE

Salary and Benefits for all positions: As per Teacher’s Negotiated Agreement. Must have or be
eligible for appropriate Vermont licensure.
