REPORTS TO:Assistant Superintendent and/or Director of Pupil Personnel Services

JOB GOAL: To provide professional learning, in-person support, and coaching to the district at the middle school level. The Consultant works in partnership with the aligned, Assistant Superintendent and Director of Pupil Personnel Services, KMS administration and, as appropriate, with other team members.


1. Master teacher (in the grade span of 6-8), responsible for supporting mathematics instruction and curriculum;
2. Extensive knowledge of RTI/MTSS as related to math intervention at the middle school level and evidence based practice
3. Available to facilitate throughout the school year;
4. Extensive years of experience with implementing a problem?solving approach to facilitating mathematics in their classrooms;
5. Extensive experience in delivering professional learning or working to improve mathematics instruction in their schools or
districts; and
6. Have been presenters at regional, state, and/or national mathematics conferences.


1. Preparing for and facilitating professional learning, and/or student centered coaching with teachers, coaches, and/or
2. Provide timely and meaningful feedback to teachers
3. Planning with and supporting other coaches with preparation and delivery of services
4. Serving as a liaison between the school and Directors;
5. Communicating with Assistant Superintendent, Directors, KMS Administration and other team members in a professional and a
timely manner;
6. Completing and accurately filing comprehensive reports and documentation related to district initiative work; and
7. Attending district coaching meetings sessions, and, when possible, attending Professional Learning meetings
8. Modeling best practice
9. Assisting in Data analysis and recommendations
10. Fostering Teacher capacity, skills, and content expertise.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Approximately 3 days per week for 36 weeks during the school year, determined by IDEA funding
available. $250.00 per day.

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the School Committee's policy.
