Job Description

READS Collaborative is seeking a Reading Specialist to fulfill a part time (.1) contract within a local school district for coverage from January through June 2018. The following outline of the role and responsibilities is intended to provide a broad overview, but is subject to change according to the needs of the school district, as required by the Superintendent of Schools.

•. Lesson planning
• Facilitating and supporting student progress
•. Record keeping student activities in accordance with school policies
•. Use data to write students' progress notes and to update goals and objectives for students with IEPs
•. Prepare lesson plans in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) and the functional abilities or needs of students.
• Establish and maintain standards of behavior to create safe, orderly, and effective environments for learning.
