Job Description

Come join our team. We have a Group Leader position available with the Millis Public Schools' Extended Day Program after school working with students in grades 4-6.

This is an ideal position for candidates who love working with children, bring a great deal of enthusiasm and energy, enjoy sharing special interests with children, are self-motivated, take initiative and consider themselves to be extremely reliable.

Candidates available to work 2-5 days/week will be considered.

After School hours are 2:15 to 6:00 PM M-F.

Additional hours are available on professional development days and school vacations.

You do not need experience to apply, but preference will be given to those who have the following qualifications:
1. Previous childcare, camp or teaching experience
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skill
3. Training in or knowledge of Self-regulation skills

    Job Requirements


      • Plan and implement a variety of daily activities in the areas of arts, physical activity, movement and STEM
      • Provide a safe, secure and organized site
      • Supervise students during all program activities (i.e. snack, homework, crafts, games)
      • Establish and maintain behavior/disciplinary and safety standards
      • Administer First Aid as needed
      • Implement sanitary, health, emergency, and safety regulations.
    • Citizenship, residency OR WORK VISA IN United States required
