Job Description

What You Will Do

  • Serve as highly visible campus-based culture leader daily (school day: 8:00 AM – 4:15 PM M, T, Th, F and 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM Wed.)
  • Manage school-wide systems for incentives and consequences and keep extremely accurate scholar records
  • Refine and implement school-wide programs to establish a positive, structured, achievement-oriented, and enthusiastic culture
  • Communicate frequently with families of scholars who struggle behaviorally to report progress and strategize around supports
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings with families and scholars when behavior-related
  • Coach and support teachers to build positive relationships with scholars and hold them to high and consistent expectations
  • Serve as a member of the campus-based leadership team (CBLT) and report directly to the school principal
  • Manage time, tasks, deadlines and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Receive continuous feedback from peers and school leaders on your practice and be expected to give the same
  • Maintain a culture centered on our ethos and core values of Determination, Respect, Enthusiasm, Accountability, and Mastery
  • Exhibit an unwavering commitment to high academic achievement and character development in our scholars
  • Be on campus from at least 7:30 AM to at least 5:00 PM daily
  • Attend and support monthly Family Nights/events that invite families into the building
  • Other duties as required to fulfill our mission in the lives of our scholars

 

You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience working with children in an urban setting from historically underserved communities

 

It Would Be Nice for You to Have

  • Master’s degree in social work, education, educational leadership, or counseling
  • 2+ years working in an urban school
