Job Description


  • Conducts individual and group tutorial sessions for students with academic deficiencies in order to improve their academic performance.
  • Determines what skill areas require additional assistance.
  • Meet students wherever they are and provide them with strategies and help so they can succeed in school.
  • Designs and implements exercises and activities to facilitate student's academic improvement.
  • Work closely with both faculty and students to determine needs and extent of tutoring required.
  • Maintains all records required to document student's attendance and academic progress.
  • Participates in weekly/monthly conferences with students, teachers, and/or parents explaining evaluation of the student's progress.


Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal (or his/her designee), Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge and skills to help students find new ways to look at difficult skills and concepts
  • Possess a passion for helping students learn
  • Available 2-4 hours per day during the normal school day
