While most citizens probably don't think about the purposes of education in such idealistic terms, we believe that Center's goal for the 21st century should be to create schools where dreams can come true for all children and families. Any community can have outstanding schools when educators, parents, young people and community leaders share a passionate belief in this kind of vision - a vision of excellence which can never be completely defined by test scores and graduation statistics."
