Job Description

St. Francis International School is a Franciscan family that nurtures children to become instruments of God's peace, scholars, and global citizens.

SFIS serves children age three through 8th grade at our Silver Spring campus adjacent to St. Camillus Catholic Church. SFIS is a diverse community of learners and educators dedicated to being partners with parents in forming children's minds, bodies, and spirits.

SFIS seeks a full-time teacher for Kindergarten. This position is part of team that is made up for two teachers and two assistant teachers.

This position is responsibility for planning and instruction for a full-day kindergarten program for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year (and potentially beyond).

    Job Requirements

    • Candidate must hold state teaching certification or be able and willing to obtain certification within three years of hire.

      Ideal candidate will also hold Catholic catechist certification or be willing to obtain certification within three years.

      Familiarity with the Responsive Classroom framework is a plus.
