Job Description

Screening of applications will begin on December 13, 2017 and continue until the position is filled or a sufficient pool of applicants is established. 

 

Title:               Long Term Substitute Teacher  - 4th Grade – Saddle Peak Elementary

 

Reports to:      Building Principal

 

School:           Saddle Peak Elementary 

 

Status:           Anticipated dates for appointment are January 22, 2018 through early June 7, 2018.  Dates may vary due to unforeseen circumstances.   

       

Essential Job Duties

 

  • Instructs classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Assumes all other duties and responsibilities for a teacher during the time the teacher is absent.
  • Prepares lesson plans if instructed to do so by the building principal.
  • Maintains order in the classroom.
  • Maintains records, including but not limited to recording student grades, student assignments, projects, and other clerical work as instructed by the absent teacher.
  • Supervises students and aides.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelors from an accredited college or university.
  • Current Montana Educator License with proper endorsement for K-8.
  • Successful experience teaching and working with children/students.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Successful experience teaching 4th grade students.

 

Necessary special requirements: 

  • Montana Driver’s license or the ability to obtain license within three months of hire date.
