Job Description

New Hampshire's first statewide online high school, the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School, is currently accepting applications for computer science instructors. Check our course catalog at for a list of courses offered. Initial assignments will be based on enrollment trends.

Training and professional development for online instruction will be provided, and applicants should:
-Have at least 2 years of teaching experience
-Hold a valid teaching certificate.
-Be passionate about using Internet technologies as a powerful tool to build relationships and provide personalized student-learning opportunities for students.
-Be able to travel to Exeter, NH for potentially 3 days of all day face to face meetings in January & February
-Be willing to participate in virtual training sessions, especially within the first few months of employment.

    Job Requirements

    • Potential candidates will be interviewed on Zoom first and potentially at a face to face interview day on January 9, 2018
      Candidates invited to training are required to attend trainings on January 23 & February 6, 2018.
      Trainings will be held in Exeter, NH and applicants are responsible for all transportation and lodging costs.
      Candidates with teaching credentials from outside of New Hampshire must be willing to be certified in New Hampshire if hired.
      The ideal candidate will have availability throughout the day once working with students.
      Candidates with subject area masters will be given preference.
      Adjunct instructors are required to own their own laptop, have access to various programs on that laptop.
      Individuals with higher level computer skills (ie. coding) and interested in teaching dual credit college courses through a partnership with Southern New Hampshire University are preferred.

    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency OR WORK VISA IN United States required
