Job Description

(Contingent upon funding) - CBH position - full-time permanent teaching position beginning at the start of the 2017/18 school year.

MS Zone Director will assign.


Under the direct supervision of the building administrator with the support of the Director of English Language Learners, the ELL Collaborative Teacher will provide job-embedded support to their general education and special education colleagues in the implementation of sheltered instruction strategies. Job embedded support can include, but is not limited to, job embedded coaching, co-teaching, modeling and collaborative planning. The primary focus of this role is to build capacity within the non ESL/Bilingual certified staff to ensure that the appropriate instructional accommodations are implemented in order to meet the language development needs of ELL students.


 


In addition, the Middle School ELL Collaborative Teacher will provide small group, direct instruction to ELL students as necessary and appropriate.  Further, the Middle School ELL Collaborative Teacher will monitor the progress of both identified ESL and ENE students within the school.
