Advances Learning Center (www.advancesonline.com) is committed to serving children and young adults with a variety of diagnoses by teaching them appropriate and functional alternative behaviors, increasing their confidence and social agility, and providing an accepting environment that fosters independence. We offer in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, social skills groups, parent training, center-based services and school-based services in Massachusetts.


The Social Skills Group Assistant will assist the Group Leader in teaching a group of 2-5 children with autism social skills using ABA methodology. Groups are held 3:30-5:30 on select weekdays and throughout the day Saturdays. Assistants can work one or more groups per week in a given semester We are looking for punctual and reliable people who are creative, animated, and can make learning fun while sticking to the procedures. This is a great opportunity to learn about the field of ABA and gain experience for future opportunities. This position includes 3-8 hours of training prior to beginning working with groups.

    Our Methods

    All teaching and consultation is informed by current educational research. We use continuous data collection and data analysis to refine our teaching. We collaborate with all members of the child’s team to ensure generalization and functional use of new skills.

    Our people

    Consultants are Board Certified Behavior Analysts with degrees in either Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or Behavioral Education. Program managers have extensive experience and formal coursework in ABA. When behavior analysis is applied to teaching, instructors take continuous, objective data on the skills that students are learning, to assess the effectiveness of the teaching procedures.     Job Requirements

    • Able to follow directions consistently

    • Able to commit for the a minimum of one
    • Compensation: $11/hour or internship credit
    • No experience required
