Reports to: Holbrook Middle High School Principal

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Knowledge of the fundamentals of Spanish
2. Experience teaching Spanish, preferably in middle school or high school
3. Ability to implement and be creative with curriculum
4. Possess high energy, a strong work ethic and an ability to support student centered learning
5. Licensed in Foreign Language (Latin and Spanish or another language) for grades 7-12, by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
6. Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred, from an accredited college or university, in a related field

      On January 10, 2013, Governor Deval Patrick signed into law H.4307, an act relative to background checks. The new law requires all newly hired employees, beginning in the 2013-2014 school year, to submit to state and national fingerprint-based criminal background checks.

      As a new employee of the Holbrook Public Schools, you will be subject to a Massachusetts criminal background check (CORI). In addition, you will be required to submit to a National Criminal Background Check by fingerprint.

      The fee charged is $55.00 for licensed educators and $35 for all other school personnel.
