Job Description

The League School of Greater Boston is a year-round program dedicated to the education of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking a COORDINATOR OF RESIDENTIAL SERVICES to oversee our two residential facilities in Walpole. This position leads a team of Residence Managers and collaborates with school specialists to achieve the desired results for the program.

The Early Learning Center (ELC) and Early Learning Center 2 (ELC 2) are our premier residential facilities, exclusively serving students of The League School. Specially designed to continue the social, emotional and academic goals of our educational program, each residence provides our students with comfortable living space, thoughtfully prepared meals, recreation areas and community activities. Both residences are located on our campus in Walpole, Massachusetts.

    Job Requirements

    • Position Requirements:
    • Master's degree and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and significant experience.
    • CPR, CPI and First Aid certifications.
    • Valid driver’s license.

      Supervision Received: Reports to the Principal
      Supervision Exercised: Supervises and evaluates Residence Managers

      Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

      1. Schedules, supervises and implements DEEC regulations and Staff Training Program.
      2. Under the supervision of the Principal, oversees coordination and communication of services between the residences and the day school program.
      3. Supervises, trains and evaluates the Residence Managers.
      4. Monitors the operation of the residential network. The Coordinator of Residential Services must be available for all emergency situations (in person or by phone) 24/7; or notify staff of designated coverage for all emergency situations. Communicates, through proper channels, the emergency and the plan of intervention.
      5. Maintains open and ongoing communication with parents/guardians.
      6. Interviews and hires Residential staff in collaboration with the Principal and Residence Managers.
      7. Works with the Behavior department, Department Chairs, and Clinicians on behavioral and restraint issues.
      8. Monitors and reports restraint use at the residences.
      9. Works with the Admissions Coordinator on residential and day intakes/admissions.
      10. Works with the Facilities Manager to monitor and maintain the operation of the residential and day facilities regarding safety and cleanliness. Ensures that needed repairs are promptly made.
      11. Oversees the residential licensure by the DEEC (Dept. of Early Education and Care).
      12. Works with the Principal to ensure that all applicable state educational and residential regulations are followed.
      13. In conjunction with the School Nurses, maintains, monitors and oversees medication administration training and compliance, whether by residential staff or nursing staff.
      14. Maintains daily communication with the Principal, Coordinator of Clinical and Family Services and Nurses.
      15. Development and monitoring of budget and expenditures. Monthly review of financial reports for the residential division.

      Computer Skills:
      To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word: Microsoft Excel: Microsoft Internet Explorer; Microsoft Office and Google Mail.
