Job Description

This is a wonderful opportunity for an aspiring educator or career changer. Internships are available in elementary ed, special ed, math, science, reading, ELA, humanities, history, PE, health & wellness, guidance, nursing, music, art, and foreign language.

Interns will meet with the school's administration to determine an appropriate placement/grade level. Observation, discussion, and refection will be regular components of each intern’s experience. Training will include backwards design, lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management. Support for each intern will be provided before and throughout the internship, and each intern’s performance will be evaluated regularly. Upon successful completion of the internship a letter of recommendation will be provided.

To this end, opportunities are provided each trimester for aspiring teachers to interact with our talented, experienced educators so that they can grow in their capacity to meet the needs of today’s students.

Interns may be accepted for 1 term or the full-year. Upon successful completion of the internship, a letter of recommendation will be provided. Internships are also available in administration (principal/assistant principal).

    Job Requirements

    • Interns must be at least 18 years old, and should either be enrolled in a teacher preparation program or be a career changer. Interns must be reliable, organized, detail-oriented.

      Completion of observation hours and practicums can also be arranged.
