Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The master level staff works as part of a multidisciplinary school-based team to provide clinical services to children and adolescents in a school setting. The position will follow the school year calendar of 180 days. The clinician will utilize evidence based and evidence-informed practice modalities for the treatment of students and families. The main responsibilities as a Clinician include; evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation to teachers and to relevant school staff. Provide emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed.

• Perform initial evaluation and assessment of students and families.
• Solution focus based counseling services utilizing a variety of treatment based on trauma informed evidence based practice.
• Participates in IEP preparation and creation.
• Participates in multidisciplinary treatment plan.
• Evaluate treatment process on an ongoing basis.
• Provide emergency assessment and evaluation when indicated.
• Collaborates with case managers and other service providers to ensure students/family’s needs are being met and coordinate all aspects of client care with other involved parties both internally and externally inclusive of payers.
• Attend external meetings on behalf of client care.
• Complete all professional and administrative documentation and forms in accordance with agency standards and within established guidelines and timeframes.
• Maintain or exceed productivity expectations.
• Participation in the Agency’s Utilization Management process.
• Participation in supervision, trainings and staff meeting as required.
• Maintain professional licensure and credentialing.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Master’s degree in human services related field required.
• Licensed preferred. Independent license eligibility within 2 years of date of hire required; MSWs must obtain LCSW within 2 months of hire.
• Experience with evidence-based and evidence-informed practices (e.g., CBT) desirable.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively required; strong computer skills required.
• Ability to work in an Electronic Medical Record required.
• Ability to have flexible hours to include at least some evening times one night to meet the needs of the department.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of automobile insurance and registration required.

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Access to reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to navigate stairs.
