Job Description

Experience modifying and teaching academic curriculum to students with social, emotional and behavioral challenges.

Provides instruction in all academic subjects.

Works with regular education teachers to create opportunities for inclusion and to align curriculum with the host school.

Develops and modifies daily curriculum based on techniques required for individual learning styles and the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

Works with parents, administrators, related service staff, and other professionals to develop Individual Education Plans for each student.

Administers specialized testing as necessary.

Attends professional meetings, educational conferences and training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.

Completes report cards and progress reports on each student’s progress.

    Job Requirements

    • Holds a valid Massachusetts DESE Teacher License in Moderate Special Needs.
    • At least 2 year s of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency OR WORK VISA IN United States required
