Job Description

The BEL Center is seeking compassionate individuals to work in our ABA centered early childhood Autism program. The BEL Center is an organization which provides behavioral support services based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children and families in Southern Vermont. Join our collaborative team to support young children in learning facilitated peer play, functional communication, attending and participation, individualized pre-academic skills development, self-care, emotional regulation, and social skills. This program is housed in our beautiful center in Bratteboro, VT.

A love of working with young children and a desire to help them reach their potential a must.

Skills/Requirements:

• Prior experience with ABA preferred. Prior experience working with children is necessary.

Ongoing training in ABA is provided to all employees, and opportunities for advancement are available. Applicants currently pursuing coursework related to ABA or BCBA certification strongly encouraged to apply. Supervision towards certification is available with employment.

  • Job Requirements

    • COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively.
    • The ability to speak clearly and concisely, and to convey information or articulate an opinion is essential for this position. .

      MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    • Basic mathematics skills in operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, and calculating percentages as needed.

      REASONING ABILITY:
    • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Ability to tolerate interruptions and still be able to prioritize and focus to meet standards of quality in accuracy, attention to detail, and time constraints.
    • Ability to learn policies and procedures and apply them to various circumstances including the ability to interpret needs and respond in standardized situations.

      TECHNOLOGY SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
    • Ability to use computers and iPads with fluency.

      AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
    • This is a school day position.

      CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: - Training provided as needed
    • Current First Aid Certification
    • Current CPR Certification
    • Certification in agency approved safety/de-escalation program.
