CONTRACT TERMS
:  One Hundred Eighty-three Days (183)
                                   Teacher Benefits
                                   Teacher Salary Schedule 
                                   Salary Range:  $34,900 - $72,000
                                   PEA Agreement
                                   Status:  FSLA Exempt

Qualifications:
 
Required: 
  • Valid Colorado Teaching License within 60 days from date of hire
  • Elementary or K-12 Media Endorsement and
  • Currently enrolled in a Media Endorsement Program or willingness to enter a program to obtain a Media Endorsement
Preferred:
  • Commitment to the belief that all students can learn
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and work as part of an instructional team
  • Experience teaching research and evidence based instructional strategies in Literacy and Mathematics
  • Experience teaching research and evidenced-based academic and behavioral interventions to students
  • Demonstrated experience teaching students to utilize technology as a tool for learning and communicating
  • Knowledge of statistics and data as related to data-based decision making
  • Ability to use technology for instruction and communication purposes
  • Demonstrated ability with classroom management, positive behavior supports and interventions
  • Willingness to participate in staff development and other activities related to STEM curriculum
  • Demonstrated knowledge, competence and skills in all aspects of current and emerging information and technology
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence in all aspects of coordinating / providing library media/technology services to students and community
  • Masters Degree in Educational Media, Library Media, or equivalent
  • Experience in library media, technology or related field
  • Experience teaching media skills to faculty and students
  • Experience collaborating with the faculty
  • Flexibility in scheduling and meeting school needs
  • Knowledge of district policies and federal guidelines regarding copyright laws
  • Dedication to increased student achievement
  • Willing to meet the goals and objectives of the school and district strategic plan
  • Willing to be an active part of the school technology plan
  • Dedicated to the standards process
  • Willingness to participate in professional development to support school improvement
  • Familiar with Examview, Tandberg Video Conferencing
  • Experience using Accelerated Reader Program
Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for resource evaluation, selection, acquisition, organization and retention
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the library automation/management system
  • Uphold media center policies and procedures consistent with district goals, policies, procedures, and mission statement
  • Supervise and maintain all daily functions of the school-based library media and technology services
  • Collaborate with staff and community to develop activities for library / media / information / technology integration and school reform improvement
  • Communicate with the school principal to facilitate implementation of library, media, and technology initiatives and related school improvement goals
  • Collaborate with other media specialists of information and technology to resolve concerns related to library, media and technology competencies
  • Team with teachers to support curriculum and student achievement
  • Facilitate the acquisition of information and research skills among staff and students
  • Serve as a liaison for curriculum integration at the school site
  • Serve as a resource for use of technology in a variety of learning settings using different strategies
  • Assist teachers to overcome technology problems and promote integration of technology into daily classroom activities
  • Communicate library / media / technology highlights to school communities
  • Lead and facilitate collaboratively
  • Assist in the development of school-level information technology plan
  • Perform all other duties/work as required
