Job Description

We seek an experienced teacher who combines skill in early reading, writing and math instruction with creativity, enthusiasm, and a collaborative nature. The position is 20 hours a week, and entails sharing classroom responsibilities and coordinating closely with a full time 1st-2nd grade teacher and our learning strategist to provide students with a strong foundation in early skills. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education and experience in teaching early literacy and math. Experience with balanced literacy, differentiating literacy instruction in a heterogeneous classroom, and training in Reading Recovery and/or Math Recovery preferred.
