Job Description

Working as Camp's Woodworking Instructor, you will create and teach curriculum to children, from 8 to 15. You will be responsible for working on small projects to teach the fundamentals of woodworking while keeping it fun, safe, diverse, educational and age-appropriate. You will be responsible for running 35 minute activity periods for groups of up to around 15 children at a time, assisted by 1 or 2 of their counselors. Your groups will be "Elective" groups, which will attend Woodworking for one activity period, once per day for five times per week. This will allow you, as the Woodworking Instructor, to work on small projects that will give you time to have an end product by the end of the week for the campers to potentially bring home. The Woodworking Instructor position is perfectly suited to a student or teacher (or similar) who has woodworking/carpentry experience and experience of working with children. 9:00am to 3:30pm (this includes a 30 minute break per day)
June 25th to Aug 24th (9 wks, preferred) or Aug 17th (8 wks) and hours are guaranteed.
Mon to Fri each week except for July 4th when we are closed.
Salary range is $2300 and up for 9 weeks of work.
Extra income can be made (up to $700), working as a Bus Counselor or Extended Day staff.
Free BBQ lunch every Friday and free daily snacks.


Sharon, MA but with free bus transportation from all over MA and RI!
Housing is NOT included.
Everwood Day Camp is an outdoor focused summer camp featuring many physically demanding activities on land and water. Staff members are regularly required to walk, hike and otherwise move in woods, fields, beaches, and lakes. In order to perform the job, each staff member of Everwood Day Camp must be physically able to travel around a large rural environment (fields, woods, beach, etc.) over uneven ground on a regular basis.
