The
winter weather this year has brought big changes. First, there was
very little snow and warmer than usual temperatures. Now, record
breaking snowfall and freezing cold temperatures have blanketed
much of the U.S. There have been big changes here at SchoolSpring
too! In January, we launched an all new version of SchoolSpring
for schools that makes finding and hiring teachers even easier.
What does this mean for education job seekers? Schools love SchoolSpring
more than ever, making our service a preferred recruiting system
for education.
Please enjoy this issue of the Source newsletter
and I hope you have a great rest of the winter, no matter what the
weather! If you have any questions or feedback about SchoolSpring,
please give us a call at 888-546-3487 or email me at susan@schoolspring.com.
Thank you,
Susan Fitzpatrick

In January, we launched an all new SchoolSpring Version
2.0 that combines more features and increased flexibility with improved
ease-of-use for our employers. All of our school customers have
automatically been upgraded to the improved system. This means schools
love SchoolSpring more than ever before.
Susan Fitzpatrick, Vice President of SchoolSpring,
explains how the new service was developed. “We listened carefully
to the needs of our customers to create a completely upgraded product.
Our investments in the new system are already paying off as customer
response to date is overwhelmingly positive.” Initial roll-out
of SchoolSpring Version 2.0 began in December with training and
technical support for customers.
“I was very happy with the original SchoolSpring,
but Version 2.0 has many new time-saving features that make the
system even more efficient and user-friendly. Everyone at SchoolSpring
is very responsive to any questions I have and is open to suggestions
to help the user,” says Mary Dyl, Human Resources at Middletown
Public Schools in Rhode Island.
Mary Beth Bouvier, Business Manager at SchoolSpring,
comments on customer reaction. “I’ve heard only positive
responses to the new version of SchoolSpring. Employers are telling
me that they are really enjoying the new functions.” She continues,
“I’m very proud of the product that SchoolSpring has
put forth and the fact that it integrates so many of the features
that our customers have suggested in the past.”
SchoolSpring Version 2.0 incorporates hundreds of
updates and improvements over the previous version, along with a
more robust database.
Some of the more popular features include:
• Faster, more powerful candidate evaluation tools allowing
schools multiple rounds of screening and custom assessment criteria;
• Improved communication options for schools
to notify candidates about the status of their applications;
• More complete data warehousing of applicants’
entire portfolio including resume, certifications, test scores,
and other essential information;
• Time-saving job posting applications, such
as the ability to list the same job at multiple schools in a district;
• Entirely new user interface to increase usability
and system flexibility;
• Significant security enhancements.
“Version 2.0 is a significant milestone for
SchoolSpring. We worked as a team with our customers to make it
happen and they love the new look, feel, and most importantly the
enhanced functions of the service,” states Therese Fafard,
Operations Manager at SchoolSpring.

SchoolSpring
is growing and we’re happy to announce that Analee Berretto
has joined our team as a sales consultant based in Rhode Island.
She brings over six years of experience in sales, customer service,
and systems support in the technology industry and has a passion
for education.
Analee explains how she found SchoolSpring. “After
I had my son, I decided I would go back to school to earn a teacher
certification. I was looking for a part-time educational job opportunity
in the Bristol, RI area and when I found SchoolSpring.” She
continues, “I liked how user friendly the website was and
the focus solely on education. I thought, ‘This makes finding
a teaching job so easy!’” When SchoolSpring advertised
for a sales consultant she knew it was a perfect fit.
Born and raised in Rhode Island, Analee understands
the unique needs of her region and thought the SchoolSpring approach
to teacher recruiting made sense. She’s already learned that
she’s not alone. Analee goes on to say, “The schools
I’ve talked with think SchoolSpring is wonderful. They like
that everything is available online and appreciate all of the collaboration
tools they can use during recruiting. They also love the idea of
a paper-less application process.”
Going to school, raising a family, and now working
with SchoolSpring will keep Analee busy, but she is excited about
the opportunity. “In the future, my dream is to be a teacher.
But right now I can help schools find the educators they need, today.”
Welcome aboard Analee!
If you know a school in Rhode Island or anywhere
else that should be using SchoolSpring, please contact Analee at
