The MERC Education Fair is an annual recruiting event that brings together teaching candidates from our member colleges and universities with schools and school systems from across the country for networking and job opportunities in public and private schools.

Apr 5, 2014 Fairfield County (CT) Professional Educator Recruitment Fair: The 2014 Educators Recruitment Fair has been modified and is for Secondary, Special Education and Special Subject Certification Areas ONLY. Secondary, Special Education and Special Subject Certification Areas: 8:30 - 3:00, Report to Cafeteria First ** IF you are an elementary educator, please visit CTREAP or individual district websites for openings. Due to lack of openings and specific areas of need, the 2014 Recruitment Fair is not open to elementary educators** Officials from each of the participating districts, schools and universities will be available all day to meet with various candidates and conduct interviews. Prospective secondary, special education and special subject certification educators will enjoy a “one-stop-shopping" approach. The recruitment fair opens at 8 A.M. in the cafeteria, followed by an orientation in the auditorium. Displays and interviews will run throughout the day until early afternoon. Pre-registration is not required, but highly recommended. It is free for candidates to attend. The cafeteria will be serving food and beverages beginning at 8 A.M. All attendees will receive a recruitment packet. Candidates should bring along sufficient resumes only. Additional documentation is collected electronically by the districts through their on-line web applicant tracking software. Candidates are advised to periodically check the websites of each participating district for complete and up-to-dated information of available positions. Mar 26, 2014 PA Education Recruitment Consortium (PERC) Job Fair: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS The following eligibility requirements apply to all students and alumni wishing to attend the PERC Teacher Job Fair: You MUST have an education certificate or be a candidate for certification by August 31, 2014. In addition to PreK-12 instructional certifications, related education certifications qualify, e.g. OT/PT/SLP, school counseling or therapies, administration, etc. Family and other guests will not be permitted entrance to the job fair. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Also, registering for the fair signs your name giving PERC permission to use any pictures taken to promote the job fair. WHO WILL BE ATTENDING and WHO ARE THEY HIRING? Mar 14, 2014 MERC (Maryland) Education Recruitment Consortium Job Fair: Mark your calendar! The next MERC job fair will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014. We are interested in having you join the Maryland Public Schools workforce. Please be sure to visit any of the websites of our 24 school systems (see links below). From the beautiful mountains of Garrett County to the shores of Worcester County and a little bit of Maryland pleasant living in between, we are sure that you will want to live and teach in Maryland! Please note that employment interviews may be available during the MERC event for select candidates but are not guaranteed. Individual school systems reserve the right to adjust interview schedules as needed. Visit the individual school system sites listed below to secure registration information unique to each school system. If you register early by February 15, 2014, the fee is $10. After that date the registration fee will be $15. All registrations must be completed electronically prior to the event. There may be limited on-site registration on the day of the event. No cash registration will be accepted.
