U-Maine - Farmington Education Job Fair: This event is open to all graduating seniors and alumni in Maine, as well as any certified or certifiable teacher candidates from out-of-state or in-state.
The UMF Education Job Fair is one of the only education-specific fairs in Northern New England. This is a great opportunity to jump start your education job search. It is FREE to ALL job seekers! However, it is important that you register to receive further communication and updated information about the event. UMF Students, Alumni and visitors should sign up at Visitor Registration.
The fair will be held in the UMF Olsen Student Center, located on South Street in Farmington. The doors will open at 12:30 pm. Upon arriving please, check in at the registration table. Job Seekers are responsible for knowing where participating organizations are located and the positions they have open. Do your research in advance by visiting participant's websites. |

MERC (MA Educational Recruiting Consortium): 80-100 public school districts from across the country and around Massachusetts (usually there are about 40 schools and districts from Massachusetts).
Other employers attending include charter schools, private schools and educational organizations.
The fair is designed to promote informal networking and introductions. Some school districts, usually from out-of-state, also conduct interviews at MERC.
MANDATORY MERC Registration Packet Interested Boston College students and alumni MUST get a MERC registration packet from the BC Career Center.
Boston College students and alumni should email peter.hunt@bc.edu to receive your packet. In your email, please include your name, class year and majors.
ELIGIBILITY NOTICE: Only matriculated students and alumni from MERC member schools (including Boston College) can attend the job fair.

Education Expo Fair: Our teacher candidates have strong communication and leadership skills, are actively involved on their campuses, are self-motivated and committed to teaching, and possess a strong work ethic.
Education Expo is a well organized day with excellent hospitality and a dedication to employer service. The colleges and universities sponsoring Education Expo are committed to providing an individualized and cost-effective service that enables school systems to effectively recruit the candidates needed. The day includes a 90 minute open fair period followed by scheduled interviews.
Education Expo is part of the week long Buckeye Bonanza recruiting event which coordinates five teacher fairs across the state of Ohio representing over 3100 teacher candidates from nineteen colleges and universities. The April 16 – 20, 2012 Buckeye Bonanza will take employers to the teacher fairs at Ohio University, Ohio State University, Education Expo at Ohio Northern University, Bowling Green State University, and the University of Toledo. Fairfield County, CT Professional Educator Recruitment Fair: Prospective educators will enjoy a “one-stop-shopping" approach. The recruitment fair opens at 8 a.m. in the cafeteria, followed by an orientation in the gymnasium. Displays and interviews will run throughout the day until 3 p.m. Pre-registration is not required, but highly recommended.
It is free for candidates to attend. The cafeteria will be serving food and beverages beginning at 8 a.m. All attendees will receive a recruitment packet for materials they collect from each district throughout the day.
Candidates should bring along sufficient resumes, letters of recommendations and verification of certification status. All candidates are advised to check the web site for complete information and a list of participating districts. |
