Job Description
Looking to get your foot in the door in some of Vermont's most reputable school districts? The Chittenden Central Supervisory Union (serving the Essex Junction School District, Essex High School and Center for Technology, and the Westford School District) is looking for substitutes to serve in a variety of support positions on an "as needed" basis. Substitute support staff positions may include clerical, custodial, food service, crossing guards, bus drivers, computer technicians, groundsworkers, etc. Individuals with clerical experience, custodial experience, CDL license, computer technology experience, food service experience, and/or experience working with school children are encouraged to apply. Please be sure to specify which types of positions you are interested in substituting for.

As a condition of employment, all selected applicants must complete the requirements for a criminal background check and registry checks. CCSU IS A PREKINDERGARTEN-GRADE 12/TECHNICAL SCHOOL SYSTEM
Chittenden Central Supervisory Union (CCSU) is made up of three member school districts (Westford Town School District, Essex Junction Incorporated School District, and Union #46 School District) and serves approximately 3,200 students in a PreK-grade 12/technical school continuum, making it the fourth largest supervisory union in Vermont.

The Westford School District is comprised of the Westford School (PreK-grade 8). The Essex Junction Incorporated School District is comprised of Summit Street School (PreK-grade 3), Hiawatha Elementary School (PreK-grade 3), Thomas Fleming School (grades 4 and 5), Albert D. Lawton (grades 6-8), and the Essex Junction Recreation and Parks Department. Essex High School (grades 9-12) and the Center for Technology, Essex (grades 10-adult) make up the Union #46 School District.

Each school district has a school board to oversee local district issues. For overarching issues, and to set policy, there is a CCSU Board, comprised of three representatives from each local school board.
