Wellwood International is an elementary school located in the northwestern area of Baltimore County. Our school offers a rigorous, rich, and diverse educational experience for children in grades K-5. We are focused on high student achievement in a safe and orderly environment.
Wellwood hosts children from over thirty different countries! Our international population helps to provide our students with a multicultural environment that reflects today's world. English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) services are provided for non-English speaking students.
Wellwood has the distinction of being a local community school and a magnet school. Students in our French Immersion Magnet Program spend a portion of their school day immersed in French language and culture. There is one French Immersion class in each grade level. Students in our comprehensive program receive 60 minutes of French language and culture instruction every week. Applications for the magnet program may be submitted for students entering kindergarten and first grade. |
