Sollers Point Technical High is a Baltimore County Regional Magnet School with beginnings dating to 1948. Through unique relationships with its magnet partner high schools, Chesapeake, Dundalk, Kenwood, Overlea, Patapsco, and Sparrows Point, Sollers Point provides students with technical-specialty programs in five MSDE approved cluster areas of study. Concentrations are in 1) computer related – graphic communications, information systems management, and information technology (cisco networking); 2) construction related – carpentry and electrical careers; 3) engineering related – engineering technician, and industrial technician; 4) health and human services related – allied health, cosmetology, and culinary arts; 5) transportation related – auto collision repair technology,diesel truck and power systems, and auto services technology. Most technical programs provide industry or state certifications and offer articulated credit with CCBC. As a regional magnet school, all students apply for admission from Baltimore County schools.
