Eastern Technical High School is a magnet school of choice offering ten career major programs for students in grades 9 – 12. These career majors include Allied Health, Automotive Technology, Business Management and Finance, Construction Management, Culinary Arts, Engineering Careers, Information Technology, Interactive Media Production, Law Related Careers and the Teacher Academy of Maryland. The mission of Eastern Tech is to ensure that every student meets a rigorous standard of academic achievement as measured by local, state, and national criteria. Educators commit to: – Collaborating with parents and community – Engaging students with relevance and rigor – Supporting students to prepare for college/workplace So that students will develop the following skills: Communication, Teamwork, Critical Thinking, Creative Problem Solving and Technology. Our programs infuse technical knowledge and skills with rigorous academics to ensure that students will be prepared for success in college and their selected career. Eastern Technical High School has been ranked for the last five years by Newsweek Magazine as being in the top 5% of all high schools nationwide. |
