Responsible for heating and refrigeration repairs throughout the Burlington School District. Full-time. Benefits effective after 90 working days. Benefits include family health and dental and employee life insurance coverage, as well as the contractual paid sick and vacation days.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Must have a valid Vermont drivers’ license. - High School diploma or equivalent. - Appropriate licensing, including but not limited to gas and refrigeration certification. - A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in HVAC. - Proficient in computers applications – including but not limited to word processing; spreadsheets; email; internet. - Familiar with laws and regulations governing HVAC and related areas in Vermont. - Working English language skills. - Ability communicate effectively and to read and write at an acceptable level. - Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with little or no supervision, able to work independently. - Ability to work with other maintenance employees cooperatively in order to achieve tasks assigned. - Flexibility and ability to work cooperatively with other. - Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or Designee may find appropriate and acceptable.
