Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking a knowledgeable motivated literacy teacher leader to work under the guidance of the Curriculum Director, with administrators, teachers and paraeducators, grades K-8 in all RNESU schools for the remainder of the 2009-2010 school year. Masters degree with concentration in the teaching of literacy is preferred. Seven years teaching experience and an in-depth knowledge of literacy content and pedagogy needed as well as excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Our school district is centrally located in western Vermont. We are between Rutland, third largest city in VT and the college town of Middlebury. Our beautiful lakes and mountains make the area popular for many outdoor sports. The smallest of our six elementary schools has 31 children, K-6, and the largest has 400 children. Our 7-12 grade high school has an enrollment of 750 students and offers a wide variety of courses for both career and college bound students.
