Full-time temporary Special Educator needed at our Albert D. Lawton School for the remainder of the 2009-10 school year. The qualified candidate will have a firm understanding of Vermont Special Education regulations, eligibility requirements, and federal laws. He/she should possess these additional skills:
- Knowledgeable about middle school students and differentiated instruction.
- Ability to work effectively as a fully inclusive member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to use best practice and research based instructional approaches to remediate basic skills.
- Experience facilitating team decisions and effectively work in classrooms with teachers.
- Effective collaboration and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience working with students at the middle school level with a variety of learning styles and disabilities, including students with emotional behavioral disabilities.
- Hold a VT Professional Educator license with a Special Educator endorsement (3-82).
