Job Description
Seeking part time instructor/tutor in the Twinfield area for a pre-schooler with developmental disabilites in the home 3 hours/week. Mondays 9am -12pm.

The position of the instructor requires this employee to have skills in working with children and young adults who exhibit mild to severe behavioral disorders and developmental disabilities. This individual must be willing to work directly with students who display aggressive and self-injurious behaviors that are complex and intense in school and community environments. The employee must be willing to work with students who have had multiple treatment failures, complex family situations, and complicated diagnosis. The Instructor reports to the Service Coordinator (Primary) and Outreach Director.

1. Implement student support plans as directed by educational and clinical staff.
2. Take direction and support from ALMC clinical staff.
3. Able to accurately collect data as needed.
4. Follow all safety procedures.
5. Assist in hygiene, grooming and dressing needs of students.
6. Attentive to medical needs of students and immediately notifies supervisor of health concerns.
7. Engage students in all activities, in all settings.
8. Attend and participate in staff meetings.
9. Demonstrate professional boundaries with students.
10. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations relating to School business.
11. Implement board and school policies.
12. Is flexible in rotating schedule and accepting changes in programming as requested by supervisors or as needed to promote student learning.
13. Greet family members and visitors appropriately and reports their concerns to supervisors.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
II. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A. EDUCATION: High School Diploma; Associates Degree or higher preferred.
B. SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS: Good communication and organizational skill; Experience working with students with developmental disabilities; ability to implement educational curriculum and clinical programs; ability to collect data designed track educational and clinical progress. Experience working with individuals with significant challenging behaviors and disabilities.
C. EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience working with for individuals 3-22 years old within a public school setting, residential/clinical setting or independent school.
D. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Individual must be able to consistently physically intervene with individuals who may display significant physical aggression. Frequent bending or stooping and reaching above shoulder level. Able to climb stairs. The ability to physically participate in crisis prevention training is required and to implement the trained procedures in a crisis and/or behavioral situation with student served.
E. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver's license and current certification in CPI preferred. Criminal background check, certification/license within given field. *****This position must be willing to drive to a variety of geographical location. NE, NW, Central VT. Must have own reliable car and be willing to travel between sites.
