The Augmentative Learning & Movement Center is nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont and seeks a full-time collaborative Clinical Behaviorist to work within three independent schools and school based programs. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills as well as a thorough understanding in the theory, practice and application of Applied Behavior Analysis. Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification preferred.
The ideal candidate should be interested in working within a clinical model along side a multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Pathologists, Special Educators, and Classroom Teachers. The ALMC is supported by its affiliate Vermont Developmental & Behavioral Medicine which includes a Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician as well as a consulting Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist.
The applicant must be available to fulfill numerous roles to include direct service and the on-site supervision of programs and instructional staff. The individual identified must be able to develop behavioral programs as well as train and supervise staff responsible for program implementation. The employee must have strong educational skills and the ability to attend to numerous details. The position requires the employee to have skills in working with children and young adults who exhibit mild to severe behavioral disorders and developmental disabilities. Interested individuals must be willing to work directly with students who display aggressive and self-injurious behaviors that are often complex and intense in nature. The employee must have experience working with students who have had multiple treatment failures, complex family situations, and complicated diagnosis.

1. Ensure behavioral strategies are implemented consistently and accurately across clinical systems in all settings.
2. Develop data-taking mechanisms and reporting strategies for clinical information.
3. Attend team meetings as necessary and requested.
4. Coordinates with Clinical Director a schedule of students to be reviewed.
5. Participate in presenting student progress.
6. Act as an active training member for direct care staff and management staff. This includes on-site staff training, orientation training, clinical and staff meetings.
7. Ensure that all staff demonstrate proficiency in using applied behavior analysis by carrying out behavior change projects meeting designated standards of reliability and scientific rigor, satisfactorily answering questions in regard to the principles of behavior, and by demonstrating proficiency on evaluation developed for each of the essential skills of the position.
8. Assist/oversee admissions and discharges, including documentation requirements.
9. Stay current in research trends in the fields of autism and neurological disorders.
10. Attend all mandatory ALMC in-services and pursue other opportunities for professional growth and development.
11. Maintain current licensure and/or certification and work toward additional licenses or certifications where required or appropriate.
12. Other duties as assigned.

At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
