My name is Maren Boothby, MS, CCC-SLP and I’m a Speech Language Pathologist just like you. I’m writing in hopes that you will explore working with Boothby Therapy Services, the Company that I founded with my husband Christopher back in 1998.
I’m not yet sure why you might be seeking a change in your employment but I want to know. I believe that the only way that you can truly love your job, and achieve the quality of life reward that comes with loving your job, is if I ask you what is important to you before we find you a position in a local school. Important questions like what age group of children you prefer, types of diagnosis you enjoy working with, how many days you wish to work and what time you want to get home to your own kids are critical to achieving our mutual goal of Helping Children Succeed! Christopher, who serves as our VP of Recruitment, calls this process “Therapist First” which I guess makes sense since what we learn about you as a person is critical to making you happy as a professional.
I’m sure that you are also interested in what specific positions we might have in your area and how much we might pay you. Both are good questions and require the individual process I mentioned above but I can tell you that we offer excellent compensation for each hour worked, pay 100% of your health insurance premium and even pay you the full federal rate for your commuting miles to and from your home!
Please feel free to contact me or Christopher directly via phone 603- 524-9090 or email @ mboothby@boothbytherapy.com or cboothby@boothbytherapy.com (put SLP in the subject line). I’d also encourage you to check out our web site: www.boothbytherapy.com where you can get more information about our company and hear what some other therapists have to say about working with us.
Thanks for reading this and hopefully I’ll have the chance to meet you in person soon.
Sincerely,
Maren E. Boothby, MS, CCC-OTR President

We are always looking for therapists who are passionate about achieving our mission of Helping Children Succeed!
Both Christopher and I worked for a large national rehabilitation company where the company “slogan” didn’t mean much to any of the employees. So, we have taken a different tact in making sure that each and every therapist has an opportunity to see how their work on a daily basis makes “Helping Children Succeed” a reality.
In 2008 we initiated Boothby Challenge Grants (BCG). BCG are financial support for programs, services or educational items which will Help Children Succeed. The critical part is that all of our Boothby Challenge Grants come from nominations from our therapists. So, if you are working with a child or a group of children and have a great idea about what is really needed to give them that extra edge than you have the support (and money!) from us to make that happen. Let me give you an example……..
Bonnie Vaillancourt, MS, CCC-SLP is a super therapist who wanted to make her dream of creating a camp for AAC users in New Hampshire a reality. She gathered a group of Boothby Therapy Services therapists who collectively wrote up their request in a Boothby Challenge Grant. Together, this group of therapists, Christopher and me approached Raymond School District (Raymond, NH) and found that their Director of Special Education, Maryellen Pantazis also wanted a summer AAC experience for their students. “Camp Can Do” was born and has provided both extensive training for therapists across New England but has also been a great place for children with AAC and their families to find their own voice!
Hopefully, you can see that we want you to be more than a therapist who goes to “work” each day. We want you to be so well matched with your school and kids that you can’t wait to get to school and truly enjoy your time with children. I’m not sure if passion for Helping Children Succeed is a normal “Job Requirement” but is certainly important if you are going to work with us at Boothby Therapy Services.
