North Kingstown School District is accepting applications for substitute teachers and tutors for grades PK-12 for the 2009-2010 school year. The substitute teacher provides instruction, maintains student confidentiality, encourages student progress, and manages the learning environment, thereby enabling each child to pursue his or her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.
A Rhode Island teaching certification is REQUIRED, and/or an emergency teaching certification.
Salary is $70 per day, $80 per day after 30 non-consecutive days, then $100 per day after 30 consecutive days in the same classroom, retroactive to day one.
