Autism Specialist/Behavior Analyst
HowardCenter is seeking a full-time Autism Specialist/Behavior Analyst to provide intensive, behavioral, community-based treatment services to children, ages 2-21, diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Responsibilities include developing and managing individualized assessment, treatment and integration services for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Autism Specialists are responsible for training and supervising direct service staff, working collaboratively to effectively coordinate services with school districts, families and other team members, and providing some training and support to families to assist them in utilizing appropriate interventions and behavior management techniques in the home environment. Finally, Autism Specialists provide ABA and ASD consultation.
This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to an evolving program, and to the field of Autism services in the state of Vermont.
Preferred qualifications: Masters degree and Board Certified Behavior Analyst, with a minimum of 3 years of field experience with Applied Behavior Analysis and children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Bachelor’s level candidates, particularly those with a BCABA and relevant experience, will also be considered. Candidates must have extensive training in the principles and techniques of Applied Behavioral Analysis as a primary treatment methodology, and experience in the application of this methodology. Supervisory experience preferred. This position provides a competitive salary and full benefits.

Program services are typically accessed through the special education department of local schools .
