a)Performs skilled nursing procedures as necessary in a safe, competent and efficient manner.
b)Administers medications in a safe and therapeutic manner according to physicians’ orders and consistent with school policy and states laws and regulations.
c)Maintains student health records as prescribed by school policy and state laws and regulations.
d)Maintains strict confidentiality related to student and staff issues.
e)Supervises others in the performance of skilled nursing procedures where permitted by state and local law and state Nurse Practice Act.
f)Uses effective written, verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
g)Collaborates with other school professionals, parents, and caregivers to meet the health, developmental and educational needs of clients.
Must have:
BSN preferred and Valid MA RN License and current CPR/AED/FA Certification

Located in Central Mass., the Quabbin Regional SD includes the 5 rural communities of Barre, Hardwick, Hubbardston, New Braintree and Oakham. All 6 schools are newly constructed or have undergone major renovations within the past 10 years. The 250,000 sq. ft. middle/high school is located on 109 acres, include carefully groomed athletic facil. and a well maintained enviro. science research area which includes a pond, a greenhouse, an observatory, and many areas for outdoor ecological study.
